Mission Statement

The Trego County Sheriff's Office was established in July 1879 to serve and protect all citizens residing within and traveling through Trego County encompassing approximately 900 Square Miles. The Sheriff's Office takes pride in patrolling throughout the cities of WaKeeney, Collyer, and Ogallah.

Along with the Kansas Wildlife and Parks, the Trego County Sheriff's Office also patrols and monitors the beautiful Cedar Bluff State Park. We are dedicated to serving the community with Professionalism, Integrity, and Courage to keep everyone as safe as possible. We currently maintain a 16-bed Jail Facility located inside the Law Enforcement Center of WaKeeney.
